Info: These studies are already in use as education material on several Universities across Europe. A fingering chart for the extremely high register, starting on high F'' and going up to the even higher D''' is included. The studies can also be ordered via several shops, such as: "June Emerson Wind Music" (England), Bernd Moosmann (Germany), "Musikk-Miljø AS" (Bergen, Norway), and more.

Program note: "These studies were composed during a two year period from 2009 to 2011. It was my intention that they should be an aid to solving technical difficulties while at the same time sounding good enough to be performed at solo concert pieces in their own right. The studies can therefore be played in strict tempo with a focus on technique and very even tone - or they can be performed molto rubato as solo pieces with greater emphasis on musicianship, sound and intonation."

Title: Three Master Studies

Publisher's note: "These Three Master Studies for bassoon are from 2014-2017, with sub-titles “Etude Theatrale,” “Birmingheim,” and “Stokkavannet”. These are challenging etudes, written by a bassoonist for bassoonists. All 3 require extended range on the bassoon, with #3 requiring low As. They are extremely well-written while at the same time challenging every aspect of current bassoon performance."

Title: Fanfare

Composer: Kristian Oma Rønnes

Instrumentation: 6 horns, 2 trombones, bass trombone & tuba.

Publisher: Emerson Edition Ltd. (England)

Published: 2017

Price: £8.50 ( = c. $10 / c. 9€. Exchange rates may vary)

Publisher's note: "This Fanfare for 6 horns, 2 trombones, bass trombone and tuba was composed in Oslo, Norway in 2011. It is composed with a rather proud and majestic interpretation in mind. In the last bar for 1st & 2nd horn, the 2nd horn should play the upper voice if the 1st horn does so. If the 1st horn decides to play the 2nd voice (ossia), then the 2nd horn should do so as well. If parts are being doubled, then it would be preferred if both ossia parts are played."
